Guardiola makes stunning confession about Man City that could cost him his job at the end of the season

Pep Guardiola admits his Manchester City squad are still not good enough to win the Champions League after missing chances against Crystal Palace in a Premier League game.

The Spanish boss claims the Citizens are not clinical in front of goal which could affect their chances of winning the elite competition this season.

Guardiola's men missed several chances to extend their 2-0 lead at Selhurst Park, and were grateful to Ederson after he made several top-class saves to shut Palace out.

“We have to be clinical. People say about the Champions League… that target. We still are not ready. “We create a lot, don’t concede but can improve. We have scored a lot over the last two seasons and I don’t have doubts about that.

 “But we have to keep going, work on that.” The former Barcelona boss knows what it takes to be crowned champions after winning the Champions League with the Spanish side in 2009 and 2011. City welcome newcomers Atalanta to the Etihad on Tuesday, October 22, as they aim to continue their perfect start in the competition.
