The Social Media Bill which the Senate is deliberating on is one that directly contravenes the Nigerian Constituition edicts on freedom of speech and information
Actively pioneered by Sex-Toy shop assault Senator, Elisha Abbo, the bill seeks to control the kind of information that is released to the public thus reducing or even totally eliminating the evidence of crimes by officals in power.Based on our constitution section 39 that guarantees freedom of speech and information,i oppose and condemn the social Media Bill that is aimed at infringing on our rights to freedom of expression and communications. #SayNoToSocialMediaBill#SayNoToSocialMediaBill pic.twitter.com/iKirw2tNbE— WarepamorSammy 🇳🇬 (@Warepamorsammy) November 22, 2019
Nigerians have come out enmasse to reject this bill by signing a petition that has since yesterday accrued over 26,000 signatures at the filing of this report. This is Elisha Abbo. A Nigerian Senator. Caught on camera physically assaulting a woman in a sex toy shop. His would have been covered if not for social media. He isn't in jail yet. He wants to silence social media to enable him continue assaulting. We #SayNoToSocialMediaBill pic.twitter.com/lOExRMOlHu— Ayò Bánkólé (@AyoBankole) November 22, 2019

That’s why he’s in support of that oppressive bill.
He saw the power we still wield and it terrified him!
